Gourmet Dining/Night Leisure Site [Information Service TOWNMAP]
A Japanese-style pub in the bustling Higashi-Shinsaibashi shopping district between Mitsudera and Soemon-cho streets, the appeal here is without a doubt the kushi-katsu made with select ingredients and appetizing presentation. The menu holds plenty of variety, from seafood like shrimp (200 JPY) and whiting (400 JPY), to meat such as special sparerib (400 JPY) and beef tongue (350 JPY), and the kushi-katsu standards of chicken with ume-shiso (180 JPY) and sautéed shiitake mushrooms (200 JPY). You're guaranteed to find something that appeals to you no matter how many times you visit.
It's not only standard items on the menu; this restaurant also boasts a wide selection of original creations. Rossini (480 JPY) is a kushi-katsu take on a French-inspired dish comprised of Japanese beef fillet and foie gras sautéed in a truffle sauce. Imaginatively arranged original kushi-katsu are yet another secret to the popularity, not just with men, but as a destination for ladies' nights out as well.
The restaurant interior is simple, with 13 counter seats and three tables. From the counter, the kitchen staff's handiwork can clearly be observed, bringing the feel of the restaurant together as one and further drawing out the flavors of the food. With business hours from evening to early morning, if you get hungry in the evening or late at night, or just want to enjoy some kushi-katsu over drinks, we're here to welcome you.
