A restaurant specializing in fugu located near the entrance of Soemoncho, on the main street in the Minami area. On opening our door inside the building, guests will see a large aquarium with tiger blowfish shipped directly from Iki, Nagasaki swimming within. With semi-private rooms in traditional Japanese style, you can enjoy your fugu amidst a relaxing atmosphere.
Made with fresh tiger blowfish shipped in year-round, our fugu dishes are prepared to order, for food so fresh that it is practically still twitching when it is arranged on a plate and set at your table. With about 20 years of experience in refining fugu cuisine, Ozaki-san prepares an expansive variety of specialty dishes with masterful deftness, including fugu tecchiri (stew) and tessa (sashimi), karaage (fried) and yaki (grilled) fugu, yubiki (salad with fugu skin), and shirako (soft roe), among others.
We highly recommend the shirako in winter and the shichirin (charcoal earthenware brazier) grilled fugu in summer, and our homemade ponzu (soy and citrus sauce) is addictively delicious. For large parties, we recommend ordering a meal, as the price is discounted over à la carte orders. Options include the Tecchiri Course (¥5,220), which also includes yubiki and sashimi, fried fugu, and zosui (rice porridge), or the Fugu Zanmai (Indulgence) Course (¥6,720), which includes the Tecchiri Course in addition to grilled fugu.
