Located in a convenient location just a short way up Kitanosaka from any of the lines at Sannomiya Station, “Samurai, Sannomiya” is an izakaya restaurant in the center of the Sannomiya District. Of the eight distinct establishments operated by the “Samurai Group” in the area, the Sannomiya establishment especially emphasizes its seafood and chicken dishes. The seafood includes ingredients shipped directly from Saga and the Goto Islands of Nagasaki prefecture and fresh ingredients procured every morning by the owner, but can be enjoyed at reasonable prices such as with our seasonal specialty sashimi five piece plate (1,480 JPY).
The charcoal grilled chicken is also a specialty, using famous “Daisendori” chicken from Tottori Prefecture. Crispy skin surrounds the juicy, succulent Daisendori chicken steak (780 JPY); just one of many chicken cuts offered. Others (each 550 JPY) include tebasaki (wings), seseri (neck), kawa (skin), harami (belly), hatsu (heart), sasami (white meat), mune (breast), and more. If you want a little bit each of a variety of cuts, we recommend the five piece select plate (1,200 JPY).
We also offer a large variety of sake as well, including “Bon Tsuya” from Fukui Prefecture (1,000 JPY), “Sanjurokuninshu” from Yamagata Prefecture (900 JPY), and “Ishizuchi” from Aichi Prefecture (900 JPY). The restaurant can accommodate parties for up to 32 guests, being composed of four four-seat tables, one two-seat semi-private table, and a tatami section in the back.
